Services at this field
What we do here

03Paint correction and protection
Correction and sealing on a finish system that gives you one chance to get it right.

Bare metal, exhaust stacks and trim brought back and kept there.

What South Florida does to an aircraft
Salt is the whole story, and it does not wait for weather. An aircraft based in South Florida sits in a corrosive atmosphere every day it is outside. Salt settles, holds moisture against metal, and works into seams, fasteners and gear bays. On a coastal field, cleaning frequency is part of corrosion control rather than appearance, and the FAA has connected the two in published guidance for decades.
The sun is relentless and there is no off season. UV at this latitude chalks polyurethane, hardens elastomers, dries seals and fades cabin materials near the windows measurably faster than a northern field does. Protection here buys years, not shine.
Then the growth season and the storms. Afternoon convection through the summer puts water on the aircraft daily, pollen and organic fallout land on every horizontal surface, and hurricane season means an aircraft can go from clean to filthy in a single afternoon. Interval matters more here than almost anywhere we work.
Opa-locka sits a few miles inland, which changes the salt load but does not remove it. The sea breeze carries it well past the coast, and an aircraft parked outside here still needs the interval a coastal aircraft needs. What it does gain is slightly less direct exposure, which shows up over years rather than weeks.
How we work at Opa-locka
OPF is a dedicated business aviation field with heavy based and transient traffic and a lot of ramp movement. High density means more ground handling and more chance of contact damage that nobody writes down. Our crews look for it and tell you what they find.
Full interior and exterior work is scheduled overnight so the aircraft is ready rather than being worked around a crew. Between legs we work to the time available and say what fits.
South Florida is covered by one team across the whole corridor, from Naples and Miami to Stuart. That means the crew that works your aircraft at one field is the crew that works it at the next one, and the standard does not change because the airport did. Our office is at 1515 Perimeter Road in West Palm Beach.
Aircraft we work at this field
Opa-locka carries one of the deepest based business aviation fleets in the southeast and a heavy international transient load. Gulfstream, Global, Falcon, Challenger, Citation, Praetor, Phenom and a significant helicopter population are all routine.
Nearby fields we also cover
- Miami International (MIA), roughly 12 miles.
- Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE), roughly 20 miles.
- Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL), Boca Raton (BCT) and Palm Beach (DJT).

Common questions
Opa-locka, FL, answered
Do you provide aircraft detailing at Opa-locka Executive Airport?
Yes, and we are staffed across South Florida. Interior and exterior detailing, brightwork, paint correction and protection, disinfection, quick turns and AOG response.
Does being a few miles inland reduce salt exposure?
It reduces it. It does not remove it. The sea breeze carries salt well past the coast, and an aircraft parked outside at Opa-locka still needs a coastal interval. The difference shows up over years rather than weeks.
Can you handle short notice work at OPF?
Yes. We are staffed in South Florida rather than travelling in, which is what makes short notice work realistic rather than aspirational.
